Marceline ist selbst in ihren 90ern immer noch radikal und nachdrücklich unangepasst. Ihr ganzes Leben lang kämpfte sie für herausragende Dokumentarfilme – in Algerien, in Vietnam, in China und in Auschwitz, sechzig Jahre nach ihrer eigenen Deportation. In ihrer politischen Auseinandersetzung scheint sie nach dem Holocaust eine Rechtfertigung für ihre Existenz gefunden zu haben. Als Schauspielerin, langjährige Begleiterin von Jean Rouch und Weggefährtin des legendären Filmpioniers Joris Ivens, lässt sich ihre Lebensgeschichte in Anlehnung an die ideologischen Brüche des 20. Jahrhunderts erzählen.

Biography
Cordelia Dvorák is a writer, dramaturge, film- and theatre-director.
Since 1996 she has worked in more than 80 international opera-, theatre- and dance-productions, amongst others: the Kammerspiele Munich, the Staatstheater Stuttgart, the Grand Théâtre of Bordeaux, the Teatro Sāo Carlos Lisbon, the Piccolo Teatro in Milan and The Nationale Reisopera in the Netherlands.Since 1998 she is the author and the director of international documentary film productions and video-installations, amongst others in cooperation with BBC, Arte, NDR, ZDF, SWR, SVT, SFR, Canal 22, the Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung, the Goethe Institute. She received grants and scholarships from the Goethe Institute, the Berliner Senat, the Vassar College Poughkeepsie / New York, The Larks Playwright Centre New York, the Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes FONCA, Mexiko and the Fundación Bancomer, México City as well as the Exzellenz-Mentoringprogramm Kunsthochschulprofessur / UDK University of Fine Arts, Berlin.
She was invited for International guest professorships and lectures at the Montclair States University New York, the UDK University of Fine Art’s Berlin, the Academy of Performing Arts Hong Kong, the Centro Andaluz de Teatro in Seville, the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes and the Universidád del Claustro de Sor Juana, both in Mexico City. She is Jury member of the Festival Internacional de Cine, Guadalajára, Mexico and the PAF Festival of Film Animation and Contemporary Art, Olomouz /CS. She regularily writes for the FAZ (Ich.Heute.10vor8), The ZEIT (Frauen schreiben: politisch.poetisch.polemisch) and the Amnesty International Journal.
