Der Stein kommt im Haus zum Liegen, das „Team Afrika“ gewinnt das erste Set in der italienischen C-League Championship mit 2:0. Kebba, James, Edward, Seedia, Lamin, und Joseph kommen aus Gambia und Sierra Leone und haben beschlossen, ihre Zeit des Wartens auf Aufenthalts- und Arbeitsgenehmigung in Italien nicht bloß in Ungewissheit abzusitzen. Auf dem eisigen Spielfeld können sie für kurze Zeit ausblenden, dass ihre Zukunft noch ungewiss ist und es scheint, dass ihnen gerade das rutschige Eis erstmals wieder festen Halt unter den Füßen gibt.
Ghiaccio – Sweeping Lives ist eine dramatisch spannende wie humorvoll unterhaltsame Chronik über das Warten, Hoffen und Träumen der zum Nichtstun verdammten MigrantInnen aus Afrika in Europa.

Biography
Tomaso Clavarino, photographer and director has worked since 2012, with major International medias (Newsweek, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Al Jazeera, Der Spiegel, The Atlantic, Vanity Fair, amongst others) working on photographic documentaries and multimedia projects. He has exhibited his works in several international photo festivals (Les Rencontres d’Arles, Format19, PhotoKathmandu, Athens Photo Festival, Fotografia Europea), galleries and public spaces such as the European Parliament. During these years he has received many grants and financial aids by prestigious institutions such as the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting and the Bill&Melinda Gates Foundation. He has a degree in Contemporary History (Magna Cum Laude) and worked, before 2012 as an Assistant Producer for the Rai Corporation in New York.
