A palace in Berlin – a fortress in Ghana. Two buildings on two continents built by the same family. WELTERBE – DAS SCHLOSS UND SEINE FESTUNG illuminates only fragments of their connection: Lurking in the shadows is a narrative of people, the Atlantic and colonial violence that clings to the ships’ routes. The traces of the ships have faded, but the stone buildings remain as warning witnesses.

BIOGRAPHY
Nach seinem Studium der Medizin und Kulturanthropologie in Berlin absolvierte Moritz Siebert ein Filmstudium an der National Film and Television School (NFTS) in Großbritannien. Moritz Siebert lebt und arbeitet als Filmemacher und Arzt in Berlin.
