For more than ten years, Azad Babayev repairs shoes in this small, makeshift „store“ in the streets of St. Petersburg. These two squaremeters ensure his subsistance and probably his future. The city authorities, however, can potentailly remove his worshop at any given time. The cobbler seeks salvation in the poetry of Nizami Ganzavi and still manages to look to the future with hope.

Biography
Born in Novomoskovsk (Tula region, Russia) in 1988. At the age of four, he moved with his parents to city of Olgin (Republic of Cuba). In 1995 he returned to Russia. 1995 – 1996 he lived in Chekhov (Sakhalin island). Since 1996, lives in St. Petersburg. In 2013 he graduated from the St. Petersburg state Institute of Film and TV.
