Östersunds Fotbollsklubb is no ordinary soccer team. For the past four years players, technical team, administratives and directive have collaborated on a cultural initiative that has seen them performing in their own theatre piece, venturing into painting, and the publication of a book narrating their experiences as part of the club.
See the Man tracks the creation of their biggest project to date: a dance piece inspired by Swan Lake and choreographed by Maria Nilsson Waller. The film is a document of this process, narrated through the personal experiences and opinions of its protagonists. Focusing on the two weeks from OFK’s last match of the season (and its triumphant ascend to Swedish first division) to the public presentation of their Tchaikovsky-fuelled dance performance, ‘See the Man’ is a testament to bravery and a unique collision between arts and sports.

Biography
José Miguel is an actor, theatre director and filmmaker based in Dublin. He is a theatre graduate from Universidad de Chile and Trinity College Dublin. He is an associate artist to Project Arts Centre under the Catalyst scheme and also one third of the artist led initiative DRAFF Magazine.
Jose has been working in theatre for the last 20 years. As a performer, director and video designer, in the last few years Jose has been making video work for dance, dance films, music videos and visual design for theatre. See the Man is his first film.
