Making of Slendro Limo is an observational film that follows a process of crafting a gong in Wirun, a Javanese village, whose inhabitants have been crafting gamelan (Indonesian traditional orchestra) for generations in relatively modest buildings. From shaping the gong, right up until the tuning process, the workers are exposed to high levels of heat and dirt as they work up a sweat hammering and bending the metal to shape.
