How are we shaped by the places in which we live and work? In what ways has our past manifested itself in them and how do they point to our future? What stories are written into our environments – between the walls, on the open street and in the vastness of landscapes?
Political struggles and historical interdependencies are negotiated in the interplay of space and time, just like personal biographies and living conditions are shaped by different working environments and power relations. Four films trace the kaleidoscope of these contexts and interactions in a diversity of forms and narrative styles – from experimental approaches to descriptive poetry – to speak about political agitation and historical reappraisal. The programme invites you to an unconventional survey of different film worlds that offer a wide-ranging mix of perspectives and narratives.
