Somewhere on the internet, in a 250 square kilometer space, people come together as a community to simulate a fictional survival. For some, this island has become a new virtual home where they can live out their fantasies and forget their everyday worries. In the form of avatars, a film team enters this place and makes contact with the players.
KNIT’S ISLAND is an expedition into unknown digital territory – an immersive experience that explores the boundaries between fiction and reality. With humour and seriousness, the at first anonymous virtual space is illuminated and reveals the hidden stories of the people in and behind it.
