IRANIAN PET CLUB
Hadi Afarideh | Iran 2018 | 60 Min. | OmeU
For their loved ones many would push the envelope. Pet owners in Iran, however, exhaust the limits of legality. Reptiles become increasingly popular as walking dogs in the public or even giving them a lift in a car is fined. “Iranian Pet Club” provides a surprising insight into Iranian society and reveals that the affection for animals is something deeply human. Hadi Afarideh latest documentary film is a tribute to pets and their owners who slowly continue their triumph against strict laws and religious beliefs of purity.
