12-year-old Adèle doesn’t want to go to school anymore. School is an environment where she finds it difficult to socialise with others. She only really feels comfortable on her skateboard, her symbol of total freedom. Her fears of starting the next school year and the expectations on what it will be like to become an adolescent seem excessive. And so, she starts the search for her future identity.

BIOGRAPHY
Marie Falys, originally from Belgium, discovered cinema as a teenager and developed a passion for it. As soon as she finished secondary school, she began studying filmmaking at the IAD in Louvain-la-Neuve. During her two years at master’s level, she co-directed a fiction film featuring a strong female character: Aurore. Then, for her graduation film, she made an intimate documentary about a young teenager in search of herself. In early 2024, she directed a short film in collaboration with Elles Tournent : Les gueuses. She is currently working on her next short film.
