DANS L’OEIL DU CHIEN – THE DOG’S EYE
Laure Portier | France 2018 | 38 Min. | OmeU
What remains of a life, what disappears? Dans l’œil du chien is a portrait of two women, the director and her grandmother. Confined behind closed doors, and confronted with the illness of the latter, we witness a respectful and tender encounter. Its self-evidence and ease, in the face of what’s to come, seems remarkable. Arisen from the filial love and the need for closeness, this film depicts the chance to pose those last, pressing questions, before the two women have to bow to the inevitable.
