ANPLAGD
Mladen Kovacevic | Serbia, Finland 2013 | 52 Min. | OmeU
In Anplagd we meet Jossip, an amateur inventor and instrument maker. Always on the look for a new musical challenge, he sets out to decode the artistry of leaf-playing. He learns from Vera, a private detective retired to the village where she grew up as shepherdess, and Pera, the know-it-all peasant of many esoteric skills, who are the last remaining leaf-players. In a charming and heartfelt way the film shows a forgotten tradition and Jossips attent to master the art of leave-playing. Music has rarely been so offbeat.
