Eleanor ist 92 Jahre alt und genießt ihr Leben in vollen Zügen, besitzt eine farbenfrohe Garderobe, hält sich mit Arbeit auf Trab, tanztgern und hat eine Liebschaft mit einem jungen Kellner aus ihrem Lieblingsdiner. Sie kam von Deutschland nach New York und baute sich eine Karriere als Innenarchitektin auf. Bekannt wurde sie dafür, alte Lagerhallen in prächtige Event-Locations zu verwandeln. Als sich Eleanor einer Schönheitsoperation unterzieht und die Falten in ihrem Gesicht verschwinden, brechen seelische Wunden wiederauf.
EIN LEBEN IN FARBE zeigt, wie man die eigene Existenz in ihrer ganzen Fülle umarmen kann. Axel Stasny findet dazu eine einfühlsame Bildsprache und erzählerische Nähe, in der Eleanor in all ihren Facetten und Emotionen spürbar wird.

BIOGRAPHY
Axel Stasny was born in Vienna and studied Theater, Film, and Media Studies at the University of Vienna. In 2009, he graduated from the New York Film Academy under the mentorship of Vojtech Jasny. As a director and cinematographer, his work has been featured on the Academy Award shortlist and Netflix, and has been showcased at festivals such as the Busan Film Festival, DOC NYC, LA Pacific Filmfest, Montreal Film Festival, Raindance Film Festival, and the Toronto International Film Festival.
