Eines Nachts wurden die Bewohner*innen eines Dorfes auf Korsika von einem Waldbrand überrascht und eingeschlossen. Ein dramatisches Ereignis, welches das Leben der Dorfgemeinschaft für immer verändert und seine Spuren hinterlassen hat. Drei Bewohner*innen teilen ihre Erinnerungen und blicken auf das Ereignis zurück.
Durch die emotionalen Schilderungen der Betroffenen und die Montage aus aktuellem Filmmaterial und Fotos von damals vergegenwärtigt APRÈS LE ROUGE die Dramatik von Waldbränden und den lebensbedrohlichen Albtraum, dem man durch diese ausgesetzt ist. Eine menschliche Erfahrung, die aufgrund der sich zuspitzenden Klimakrise nicht seltener werden wird.

BIOGRAPHY
Marie Sizorn (FR, 1995) is a film director and multimedia artist. After studying graphic design in France, she enrolled at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie (Amsterdam, NL) where she developed her approach to art and cinema. In 2022 she directed her first short documentary, After the red.
