After a difficult childhood between social housing and a foster family, Arnaud landed in juvenile detention, where his urge for freedom became so strong that even his release after serving his sentence was not enough for him: He leaves France and makes a meagre living in Spain. Unsatisfied again, he doesn’t want to stay and moves on to Peru.
For more than ten years, Arnaud’s sister, Laure Portier, accompanied him on his journey with her camera and even Arnaud picked it up several times. The result is an expressive portrait of high emotional density that unfolds between the search for identity and a place in society.
