Premiere of the short films of the ethnocineca Filmwerkstatt (film workshop) 2022.
In line with our programme focus Entangled Realities, this year’s film workshop encourages a creative, cinematic examination of global entanglements and interrelationships. Under this year’s umbrella theme “What is happening?” we asked how entanglements become visible and tangible in everyday lives. On four days, talks and workshops held by international filmmakers, anthropologists and cultural scientists prepared 22 participants to immerse themselves in the theoretical and practical foundations of documentary filmmaking. On the following seven days, seven short-film projects were produced in teams of three.
The resulting gems of upcoming filmmaking will now premiere in the Votiv Kino in the presence of the filmmakers and protagonists and will be discussed with the audience.
